ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for someone with ambition and drive who has a great passion for delivering high quality food & services. You will have a solid background in the fast food industry including previous experience as an assistant manager / shift supervisor. Your bubbly personality and endless energy will help you to motivate the rest of the team. Excellent communication and strong customer service skills are ESSENTIAL!

You MUST also have:

  • A1 people skills including the ability to supervise staff
  • excellent shift running ability, with proven experience in a similar environment
  • proactive problem solving skills
  • some accounting / business knowledge in order to understand P&L statements
  • the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • current RSA & First Aid certificates

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our restaurant in Sydney Central Plaza's food court, is a busy restaurant with high yielding sales. Whilst the Restaurant Manager has the overall accountability for the outlet, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is key to helping them deliver the company's strategy and ensuring that our high standards of customer service and food are achieved. You will need to take ownership for all elements of the restaurant's performance - after all you will be running the show in the absence of the Restaurant Manager!

Your duties are varied and will include:

  • championing the Mad Mex vision & values, ensuring they are integral to everything we do
  • daily involvement in the service elements of the restaurant: opening & closing, ordering stock, forecasting & managing rosters, overseeing preparation & service, handling cash, maintaining equipment, etc.
  • ensuring compliance with legislation and Mad Mex's policies & procedures
  • assisting with the development & maintenance of "mexucation"
  • supervising and motivating the team.

In addition to the initial training for this role, you will also receive continuous coaching from your experienced Restaurant Manager as well as the support from the Mad Mex Support Office team.
