ClimateWorks Australia develops expert, independent and practical solutions and provides advice to assist the transition to net zero carbon emissions for Australia and Asia Pacific. A non-profit organisation, it was co-founded in 2009 by The Myer Foundation and Monash University and works within Monash Sustainable Development Institute. ClimateWorks also benefits from strong relationships with an international network of affiliated organisations that support effective policies, financing and action for greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
This newly established communications role will bring digital communications expertise to support ClimateWorks achieving its 'impact goals'. You’ll achieve this by developing and implementing social media and digital strategies that amplify ClimateWorks' activity, across a range of channels, thinking outside the box and all the while, being a stickler for accuracy.
Working alongside the Digital Designer and Social Media Specialist and across the ClimateWorks team, the role will confidently solve problems, taking a creative approach to challenges and multitask in a fast-paced, proactive and responsive environment. As the Senior Digital Officer, you will adapt existing and create new content in line with organisational content standards and brand guidelines. You will regularly update website content and manage the creation and distribution of an e-newsletter, reporting digital analytics regularly, with a focus on building engagement. In the first six months, you will also liaise with an external contractor to project manage the successful launch of our redeveloped website.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to play a key role in supporting the mission of an expert, passionate and diverse team!
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
