Kinfolk is an established non profit cafe & events venue that has been trading in the CBD for over 8 years. Kinfolk's food focus is creative, and comforting. We source locally & practice sustainably. In addition to this, and uniquely for our industry, 100% of the profits of the enterprise go to two Australian charities - the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre & the Cathy Freeman Foundation. The Kinfolk kitchen & FOH team also work alongside supervising and training a diverse volunteer community, some whom come from challenging circumstances. 


Kinfolk's Larder position is advertised as a casual position with the intention to transition onto a part time contract. You will be working in an established and cohesive kitchen team who have decades of experience working domestically and internationally in varios hatted establishments. The work week will be divided into two capacities

1) working in a larder section assembling specific dishes to order, co-operating and participating in a chain of production comsisting of three chefs. You will use and maintain a salamander oven and sandwich press as your primary tools, amongst other resources.

2) executing café and function prep during and outside of café service, with opportunities to participate in the execution of our private dinner and canape events – learning and practicing new techniques and recipes outside of traditional café repertoire.
