We are looking for a passionate, and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen. An opportunity for the right candidate to be part of something that they can make their own, and be involved in the development of a new direction for the kitchen. We expect our team members to be extremely focused on delivering the best experience in the market place.

The Coppersmith is an award winning 15 room bespoke, boutique Hotel & gastro pub with bistro, bar rooftop and our recently open cellar for private dining. Architecturally designed by HASSELL. The Coppersmith has been showcased in many magazines and newspaper throught the world. Located in the beautiful suburb of South Melbourne/Albert Park close to the CBD and Port Phillip Bay. The Coppersmith is commited to offering our local and international customers and guest an amazing experience and atmoshere to drink and dine. KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR THE ROLE:

  • Proven experience in leading a kitchen.
  • Ability to run and  manage all associated costs, including labour, food and menu costings.
  • High level of organisational skills.
  • Fluent  English essential.
  • Clear, and concise communication with your kitchen team and FOH.
  • Passion for producing a quality product with modern presentation, using seasonal produce.
  • Enhance our reputation for delivering a quality food experience.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attiude at all times.
  • Motivate and creat a geat relationship with suppliers, customers and the team.
  • Stock management, purchasing and mangemnt of labour cost experience.
  • Adhere to OHS and safe work principles.
  • Industry certified knowledge of health, safety and sanitation prodecures.
  • Must be flexible and prepared to work weekends and evenings.
