Position available for experienced and ambitious chef. We are seeking an applicant who is capable and ready to work independently in a newly established cafe.
We are a newly opened cafe in the Vic Markets/ University precinct, serving a mixed clientele of professionals and students who live and work locally to the cafe. We are seeking a chef who can work independantly, creatively and collaboratively to deliver high quality all day breakfast and lunch.
Although there is a menu in place, we are looking for someone who is keen for professional development and wanting to put their own stamp on the menu.
The responsibilities of the Head Chef role include:
Experience in Melbourne cafe environment a must, and baking skills a great advantage. Must be able to thrive in a busy, organised environment with a good eye for quality and simple food prepared and served with finesse. This is a 40-45 hour per week Monday-Friday, daytime role.
TOASTA & Co specialises in reconnecting people with their inner-child through nostalgic eating experiences. Consisting of 2 food trucks (TOASTA and Von Crumb) and a brick and mortar, we're after an assistant chef to work alongside our Head Chef in managing the food across the board.
