Your new role:
Our amazing cafe inside the iconic Customs House is the beating heart of our 300 member Coworking location. Every detail has been considered - from our customised La Marzocco gb5 and milk dispenser The Juggler, beautiful cafe space and locally roasted Allpress coffee!
As our Head Barista you’ll be looking after our members and their guests in the cafe and our three serviced meeting spaces making consistently killer coffee, delivering delightful guest experiences and go above and beyond for everyone we serve.
You’re ultimately responsible for everything from a smiling face at the counter, to a perfectly extracted coffee, flawless meetings and maintaining a positive and up-beat attitude every day!
Making consistently amazing coffee that even the most discerning coffee customer would enjoy
Getting to know each of our members, their name and their favourite coffee
Training and supervising a part-time (morning) front of house/barista
Looking after our guests in following all prescribed Service Standards at all times
Maintaining our Serviced Meeting Spaces at all times, setting-up for bookings, food and coffee service and packing down
Ordering daily stock, liaising with our suppliers and ensuring minimised wastage
Coordinating our serviced meeting space bookings - and providing personalised service to each guest
Following all Health & Safety policies and procedures, legislation, standards and at the direction of your leader
Keeping on top of industry and cafe trends and offering suggestions to continuously improve our offer.
What you’ll need:
Minimum 3 years experience as a barista
A keen interest in the coffee industry
A genuine love of people, banter and making exceptional coffee
Excellent interpersonal skills
