Patient Wolf is opening the largest independent distillery in Victoria and is recruiting an Event and Tasting Manager to oversee the operation of tastings, events and education including guest relations, cocktail prep and execution, training, hosting events, RSA, maintenance, cleaning, human resources, rostering and people management.

Patient Wolf is relocating to a new distillery in Southbank VIC that will accommodate all distillery operations and a new front of house offering. We are seeking individuals who go over and above the simple day to day and will come to live and breathe the brand.

 

YOUR ROLE:

Your primary role as Tasting Specialist will be to be overseeing the distillery tours, retail sales and masterclasses for guests, and tours to the distillery.

This critical role comes with the freedom to create experiences for our guests at the highest level in a unique and never been done before way. This means that innovation and collaboration with the major stakeholders is a must. The role will oversee the operations of tastings, events and education including guest relations, cocktail prep and execution, training, hosting events, RSA, maintenance, cleaning, human resources, rostering, people management, and financial reporting and management.

This will be an exciting role and you will be working closely with the Head Distiller and the major stakeholders for the company.

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all bookings, tastings, functions, events and tours
  • Staff training on the art of Gin distilling and flavour profiles
  • Hosting both trade and consumer events
  • Responsible service of alcohol and licensee responsibilities
  • Oversee the human resources including rostering, hiring and creation of a high quality and compliant workplace
  • Oversee and manage the financial elements of your area including reporting
  • Influence key KPI’s in a proactive manner
  • Merchandise stock management and evolution
  • Delivery and evolution of tastings and masterclasses
  • Retail sales of merchandise, gift with purchase
  • Guest relations, ensuring all patrons have an exceptional and safe hospitality experience

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

Qualifications:

  • RSA

 

Experience:

  • Previous product focused work
  • Presentation
  • Guest relations experience in a management capacity
  • Have previously managed a team
