Fonda is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to head up our BOH team.

OVERVIEW

Day in day out our Kitchen Managers are heading up services across our network of

restaurants.

The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations. They’ll lead our

BOH teams from the front and are passionate about training and developing staff. They work

quickly and accurately under pressure and never skip the details.

 

WHO IS FONDA?

Fonda was founded in Richmond, Melbourne in 2011. The vision was to develop a menu of

Mexican street food dishes, utilising the quality, freshness, and variety of Australian produce.

The vision for Fonda extended beyond the menu. We are committed to building a hospitality

team with a positive and engaging culture.

We've since expanded to 8 sites across Melbourne and Sydney and are always looking for great

people to join us as we continue to grow.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Ensuring timely, high-quality production and service of meals is established and maintained at all

times.

Leading from the front by running shifts during the busiest services.

Managing cost of goods and kitchen labour percentages.

Writing kitchen rosters.

Managing the training and development of your team, through on shift coaching and

implementation of detailed training plans.

 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

Experience: You’ve worked a minimum of 2 years in a professional kitchen.

Leadership: Demonstratable leadership experience, preferably in a kitchen setting.

Guest Focus: You are completely obsessed with delivering an exceptional product for our

guests.

Action-Oriented: You are positive, solutions-focused and enjoy working hard.

Detail focused: You have incredible attention to detail and are process-driven. You’re

knowledgeable about food safety and are committed to delivering a safe product 100% of the

time.
