TarraWarra Estate are looking for energetic, enthusiastic casual staff that can join our Cellar Door team. Applicants will need to be available on weekends as this is our busiest times. A passion for wine, or wine experience is a great advantage but not really essential for the right person with the right attitude.
A casual Cellar Door Assistant will normally work between 5 - 7 hours a day and be available on weekends and public holidays, as they are our busiest days. Additional hours could be available at certain times throughout the year especially with the Archibald Exhibition during September, October and early November as well as in the warmer months. On the job you will learn how to host wine tastings with customers and groups visiting our property. You will learn the differences between wines and the processes involved in production, to help explain and sell our award winning wines. You will need a current Victorian RSA certificate so you are able to serve and sell wine for both take away, to drink here and for tasting. Your role will also teach you crowd control, stock control, POS systems, food and wine matching and of course wine sales. Your role will also involve lifting boxes of wine, moving stock, stocking shelves with wine and merchandise, polishing glasses, clearing tables, maintaining an immaculate venue and most importantly of all being welcoming, friendly and well presented at all times. Applicant must be punctual, have great pride in how they present themselves and be able to multitask to keep up with the fast pace of our very busy venue.
