Part-time (day-time on weekdays) Cook role at Realfoods vegan/ vegetarian cafe at RMIT's CBD campus.
RUSU Realfoods is all about providing affordable healthy fairtrade, organic vegan and vegetarian food options to students. Realfoods serves quality barista made fairtrade coffee (Amelia Franklin), sweet and savory snacks, as well as meals (curries, stir fry etc), soups, and salads made onsite.
The Realfoods Cook is responsible for the preparation of high quality vegetarian and vegan food for the Realfoods Café. This includes; meals of the day (curries, stir-fry, dahl etc.), soups, salads and wraps. They are the only paid Cook on site. They work alongside, mentor and support trained student volunteers. Additional ad hoc opportunities also exist for additional special events such as catering.
Salary: $57,815 full time equivalent ($31.76/hour) plus superannuation
Description: Part Time. Flexible band of hours (minimum 12 hours per week in non-peak period). This role is 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with shifts between 5 to 6 hours/ day (shifts usually start at 8am).
