Looking for a chef to join a small team in the kitchen where team-players are valued, as are your palate, skills and passion.

  • Work with tight team
  • Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays off

About Anchovy

  • Contemporary restaurant in Richmond that is recognised by industry peers (Good Food, Gourmet Traveller, AFR) and gaining international recognition. 
  • Open 4 days a week for dinner (Wed to Sat) and 3 days a week for lunch (Thu to Sat)
  • 30 seater restaurant with a mix of services throughout the week + private dining room upstairs

 

About the successful candidate

A successful applicant would have the following qualities and experience

  • Strong CDP, or current sous chef looking for a change in environment
  • Experience working with East Asian and South East Asian ingredients will be valued
  • Strong technical skills - knife work & butchery.
  • Appreciation for produce & asian food.
  • Team player & must show great leadership & open to teaching
  • Personable, reliable, well-grounded, comfortable with constant change

Roles and responsibilities will include

  • Prepping to the stations's requirements, may include butchery or working with doughs, fine knife skills
  • Checking quality of produce delivered and ensuring the quality of mise en place
  • Effective communication with kitchen team and dining room
  • Using wok station or charcoal grill
  • End of night ordering for section and documentation of recipes for section
