Dr Morse is hiring for two key roles, Bar Manager & a Cafe/Restaurant Manager.

Our Bar Manager will write seasonal cocktail & wine lists, liaise with craft beer suppliers, train staff on all things booze. Our Cafe Manager will work with speciality coffee, assist in writing menus, train staff on all things coffee, food & service.

Dr Morse Bar & Eatery is a multifaceted venue on Johnston Street in Abbotsford. We pride ourselves on speciality coffee from ONA, killer breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as amazing booze offerings.

We are on the hunt for dedicated professionals to join the team. We are currently recruiting a Café Manager to steer the ship for our daytime trade and a Bar Manager to captian the booze offerings.

The right candidates will have lots of room for growth into a 2ic role alongside the Venue Manager.

 

Potential Cafe Manager candidates will have the following:

-       2 years in similar role in a similar role with an extensive history in hospitality

-       2+ years experience with high volume speciality coffee

-       In depth knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, cost controls and business development

-       Ability to actively manage a team of staff including baristas, floor staff and kitchen staff

-       Understanding of current Melbourne food and beverage trends

-       Have the confidence to bring innovative and smart business decisions to the venue

-       Full work rights in Australia

-       RSA

 

Potential Bar Manager candidates will have the following:

-       2 years in similar role in a similar role with an extensive history in hospitality

-       2+ years experience with cocktail, craft beers and wines

-       In depth knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, cost controls and business development

-       Ability to actively manage a team of staff including bartenders, glassies, security, floor staff.

-       Understanding of current Melbourne beverage trends

-       Have the confidence to bring innovative and smart business decisions to the venue

-       Full work rights in Australia

-       RSA

-       Event coordination experience is looked favourbaly upon
