We are a sourdough bakery currently looking for a sourdough artisan baker who enjoys making bread.
Northcote Bakeshop is a specialty sourdough bakery that specialises in the production of sourdough bread using artisan techniques by hand with no use of machines.
We are in need of a fully trained and passionate sourdough baker.
We need an experience and qualified baker with the following skills:
Trade degree in baking
At least three year’s of work experience as an artisan baker, with knowledge in the use of artisan baking techniques and procedures for mixing, fermenting, moulding and baking bread
You must be available to work the afternoon/evening shift
You will be responsible for:
Starting or closing production shifts
Preparing recipes required to meet daily production
Preparing and mixing the ingredients of each dough
Controlling and regulating the mixing and resting for each dough
Doing the scaling, moulding and shaping of each product
Baking including mixing, cutting, moulding and loading the oven with peel and moving product manually between ovens.
Managing temperature techniques and steaming processes.
Skills and experience in other areas of baking highly regarded. This includes sweet/savoury pastry cakes and cookies.
Must be able to start immediately
