The Watering Hole Group is looking for an experienced and customer focused Venue Manager to lead the team at Macelleria - The Glen (Glen Waverley)

Macelleria literally means “Butcher Shop”. We offer Australia’s most desirable meat restaurant and a unique eating experience of uncompromising quality. Recently voted 4th best steak in the world, we are looking for someone as passionate about customer service as we are about quality produce.

In the heart of Bondi Beach, 2014, Macelleria started blurring the lines between butcher and restaurant. Today there are 5 restaurants across Sydney and Melbourne with new stores in design as we speak.

Suitable applicants will have experience in a management role, great communication skills, can lead, mentor and develop a dynamic team. Proficient in financial responsibility including rostering, COE, setting sales targets, COG and stock control. You will work closely with the Operation's Manager to ensure exceptional product, exceptional customer service and the financial success of the business.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Current RSA Certificate.

Appropriate Trade Qualification

High personal standards

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

Confident and friendly disposition

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

As a Macelleria employee you are responsible for the following essential job function but are not limited to;

Ability to manage a budget.

Coordinate daily restaurant management operations.

Coordinate daily Front and Back of the house restaurant operations.

Manage the restaurant's image and identify ways to improve.

Train and recruit new employees.

Foster and encourage a positive working environment.

Role model appropriate behaviours and service standards.

Maintain a high visibility on the floor.

Create staff rosters in line with the budget.

Ensure daily reconciliation and cash and credit card security procedures are strictly adhered to and monitor and report variances.

Implement, monitor, and comply with workplace practices and standards including Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene.
