Hochi Mama, located on Little Bourke street, is an inspiring interpretation of our favourite Asian Fusion food. Currently it is seeking an Experienced cook to join the team, who will be mainly responsible for preparing high quality Asian cuisine. Duties and responsibilities : - Monitoring, preparing and cooking food - Maintain kitchen and working area including cleaning and sanitisation - Check quality of food from supplier - Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures - Can work on wok stir-fry - Can work with a team and can work under pressure - Experience with management and organisation of stock - Measure ingredients and follow recipes - Storing, labeling and dating of food
Skill and Experience: - 2 years minimum experience cooking in Asian restaurants - Related qualification preferred - Extensive knowledge of Asian food especially Thai food - Familiar with food Safety Requirements - Exceptional organisational and management skill Commercial Cookery Qualification Certificate III in commercial cookery (Preferred)
Turn some of the best produce in Australia into a range of value-added, retail products from ready-to-eat meals to meal kits to charcuterie. Will suit a self-starter who cares about food ethics and provenance and who wants to work days instead of nights.
We need an experienced cafe cook for our two busy South Melbourne cafes. Ideally you would have excellent time management and be able to prioritise tasks. Good food prepared from good ingredients where simplicity is key. You'd be working between both cafes. 3-4 weekdays and 1 weekend day per week. 7am-3pm.
