The Role 

Our People and Culture Manager is a key member of the Broadsheet Senior Leadership team and is responsible for creating a wonderful and supportive employee experience.  The People and Culture Manager will run the HR function of our business and successfully manage the recruitment, training and mentoring of our staff and management team. 

 

Aside from running the day-to-day HR operations of the business the People and Culture Manager will work closely with the Office Experience Manager on creating a fun and supportive work environment where everyone is excited to come to work each day.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert People and Culture advice on a broad range of  people issues
  • Manage, deliver and iterate people processes across performance, engagement, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and talent planning
  • Developing people strategies and objectives that support the business’ objectives and are focused on improving and growing overall health and wellbeing of all team members
  • Drive the recruitment process from beginning to end, along with hiring managers
  • Drive the implementation and use of performance management processes
  • Fostering a culture of high-performance while providing team members with appropriate training, up-skilling and development opportunities.
  • Ensuring best-practice human resource management programs, policies and procedures are in place
  • Working with our suppliers to ensure the team has the tools to succeed and perform at the highest level
  • Ensuring business compliance with all applicable workplace legislation, modern awards and Fair Work Australia regulations and standards.
  • Manage the Office and Experience Manager and supervise daily operations and office management
  • Developing and overseeing a framework that supports and enriches an authentic team culture through meetings, events and other team-bonding activities

 

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role with a strong focus on HR, policies and procedures
  • Experience working in a fast paced and nimble organisation
  • Experience in managing the full employee lifecycle
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally to a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively time manage and prioritise tasks
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office, Google Web Based applications, Slack
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a similar discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail
