Our North Melbourne based coffee equipment sales and service business requires a passionate Business Development Executive to join our growing team. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by developing relationships with potential customers within the coffee industry in Victoria, as well as maintain existing relationships.

Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers within the coffee industry in Victoria, as well as maintain existing relationships within the territory.

We are seeking a candidate who enjoys coffee, and has the passion to succeed and is not afraid to have a high level and technical conversations with decision makers!

Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the Victorian market through cold calls, emails and marketing initiatives
  • Identify client needs and customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients within your territory, both new and existing
  • Report to the National Sales Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results, whilst assisting in the development of sales budgets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months proven sales experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity of the coffee and/or hospitality industry (favourable but not essential)
  • Motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Experience developing and converting leads through various channels
  • Ability to have high-level conversations with decision-makers, while also acting as an account manager for the clients you bring on board
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office range (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and negotiation skills
