Laneway loft Ferdydurke is looking for a Marketing + Content Coordinator (Casual)

ROLE:

A new opportunity awaits to drive the voice of Ferdydurke, an iconic laneway venue in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.  

Ferdydurke’s Marketing & Content Coordinator will work alongside venue management, our music booker; helping to deliver weekly marketing activities, creating social content, and contributing to upcoming events and activations.  Experience in marketing, social and content creation is a must, as is a good knowledge of the local music, arts and hospitality landscape.  

You’ll be bringing diverse audiences together that propel our unique space, reflected in a dynamic marketing planning and content.  

Working arrangements are to be arranged with venue management.

This role is casual, on a 10 hours a week basis with room to extend.

Reports to: Ferdydurke Venue Manager (liason with Group Marketing Manager + Ferdydurke Music Booker)
Conditions: 3 month probationary basis - with review.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engagement & Community: Capturing the ‘voice’ and community spirit of Ferdydurke ensuring all public comms, including design, photography, videography adheres to this. 

Nurturing Ferdydurke’s local customer base + extending the venue’s following.  

Offering: Working alongside Ferdydurke’s core to ensure all outgoing assets are  consistent, up-to-date and timely.  

Amplification: Ensuring marketing strategy is cost-effective, within budget and effective for ROI.  

Activations:  Contributing ideas to upcoming events and major activations at Ferdydurke.
Being responsive and aware of current events, trends and activations across  the hospitality sector, music + arts industries. 

 

YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience amplifying good times! (Content creation, marketing, copywriting and social strategy)  
  • To know how to spend that digital dollar (Optimising social advertising & reporting on it).  
  • More than Microsoft paint. (Proficiency in Adobe Creative  Suite (Photoshop / Lightroom / Illustrator)  
  • A love for helping Melbourne loyals make memories.  

 

TASKS:

  • Scheduling + creating weekly social media content for Ferdydurke’s social  platforms.  
  • Working alongside Ferdydurke’s venue manager, bar manager & music  booker and creating content and marketing activity to support bar  activity, products + upcoming events. 
  • Building Ferdydurke’s online presence through social strategy & audience engagement.
  • Co-ordinating in-venue collateral, including POS menus, weekly gig guides including design briefing & printing in a timely manner.  
  • Monitoring & responding to customer communication & reviews in a timely manner across social + email.  
  • Managing Ferdydurke’s website, ensuring all collateral (functions, images) are updated.  
  • Clear reporting on growth of activity, strategy and advertising spend on  activity, optimising for ROI and that activities are within budget.
  • Liasing with relevant media to promote upcoming events + gig listings. 
  • Collaborating with Ferdydurke’s team on key event activations.
