Pillar of Salt is looking for a seasoned barista/all rounder to join our team.
We are on the hunt for a barista/all rounder!
We're looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of a coffee machine running speciality coffee, who also has some front of house experience, and who can work in a busy venue with a great team.
Pillar of Salt has been doing its thing for over 10 years, and is entering a really exciting time with lots of new corporate developments emerging on Church street. We are expecting the rest of the year to bring lots of new office workers to the area, and for the cafe to return to the bustling little venue it was pre COVID. We are still doing a high volume of coffee, and have been operating all through the pandemic.
The role is suited to someone who has worked with speciality coffee and run a coffee section before. We're looking for someone who can take control of the coffee machine, collaborate with the venue manager and head barista, and be willing to jump into different sections of the cafe. We run with a La Marzocco PB Linea machine/Mythos grinder setup, puq press, and EK grinder for filter offerings. Pay rate is as per the casual award wage.
If you're looking for a fab team to work with, good hours that are flexible, and great pay, then this role is for you!
