We are a Northcote wine bar and shop offering an ever evolving and constantly curated wine list that provides a broad range of varietals, styles, and regions from artisanal producers. We take pride in our in-depth understanding of these wines and the people that make them, and this is what we strive to share with our guests.
From the kitchen we prepare small to large plates using techniques that pay homage to the Black Sea Basin; Curing, smoking, fermentation and preservation. Our menu changes in line with seasonal produce and as we see fit, as such it is also a constantly evolving offering that we are excited to share the origins and stories behind with our guests. 188 High street is an adress that houses a lot of culinary talent and knowledge and looks beyond the tired scope of new-mediterranean wine bar cuisine.
The role is up to 30 hours across 3 or 4 days, Wednesday to Saturday with the potential for more as we extend our opening hours in July. As a venue we offer work/life flexibility, daily staff meals, and the chance to try some incredible food and wines during your time with us.
This is a permanent part-time or casual position with level II/III award rates and significant tips.
While experience in hospitality is helpful, An interest in the wild world of artisanal wine and its production is an imperative.
