Andrew McConnell's Trader House (including venues such as Cutler & Co, Supernormal, Cumulus Inc and Gimlet) is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join the team at Handmade Events.

You will be a fundamental team member that will help to define and establish Melbourne’s most exciting catering and events businesses.

  • Strategic planning to drive growth in one of Australia’s favourite hospitality groups for their newest events business.
  • Work for Melbourne’s most experienced and stable operators
  • Create meaningful events & activations for an excited and engaged customer pool including private, corporate and major events such as the Australian Open + more

About the Role:

This key position will see you drive revenue generation and a full calendar of events and activations in a diverse range of locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating and executing offsite events and activations for Handmade
  • Develop and broaden relationships with existing customers, while identifying new opportunities to maximise potential.
  • Managing sales and enquiry process through CRM system
  • Host and showcase Handmade events and activations to visitors.
  • Build relationships with clients and gain understanding of their needs and requirements to plan and execute events successfully
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients and internal teams regarding all aspects of event details

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 3 years experiences in the event industry in a similar, sales focused role
  • Extensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of offsite catering and events preferable
  • Ability to drive revenue and increase growth
  • Strong knowledge of the hospitality and events industry
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective professional relationships with clients, guests and co-workers.
  • A high level of attention to detail combined with a passion to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.
  • Technical expertise with events management software.
