Fast On Your Feet? A Good Leader and a very Organised Chef? Damm Fine Food Co. have a great opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional, looking to get out of the restaurant game and into the super exciting world of events. This is a senior position so extensive kitchen experience is required. You need to lead our Kitchen Teams, organise and execute a variety of menu for different events, working side by side with or Prep Kitchen. This role also involves training our new recruits and taking on some components of kitchen management. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct briefing for each event liaising with the Event Supervisor and all staff.
  • Organise, direct and monitor kitchen team and supplier ensuring access, security and private or public property are respected at all times. 
  • Check and ensure all equipment is in good working order and regularly cleaned.
  • Liaise with supervisors, event manager or staffing manager, regarding any event reporting.
  • Manage staff before, during and after the event, making sure they are coached and trained on the field.
  • Control each event efficiency according to company quality product standard and target costs with pertinence to staff, food and wastage.
  • Clean and reset each kitchen for the next day's event. Complete the final closing walkthrough at the end of each event.
  • Regularly monitor each venue par levels for consumables, tools and equipment.
