Starward distillery - where we champion a new way of thinking, experiencing and crafting whisky. Just like our hometown, Melbourne Australia, Starward whiskies are versatile and a little different. We craft from local ingredients, mature in barrels from the famed Australian wine regions in our backyard, and harness the infamous Melbourne weather to make a distinctly Australian spirit. We tried something new and never looked back. Of course, we’re still whisky but it is whisky done different.

We’re currently seeking quality hospitality professionals to join our distillery team in Port Melbourne. We are growing and looking for efficient and passionate team members to serve up our delicious whiskies and execute our exclusive distillery experiences – with the aim to make an impression on our guests. We are looking for casual bartenders that can provide an authentic and memorable Starward experience. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, are passionate about Australian whisky and providing great customer service.

THE ROLE

• Customer service orientated, showcasing our brand in a range of ways from in-store experiences, drink service to tours and masterclasses.
• You’re a passionate hospitality professional that wants to be part of an exciting and growing Australian whisky brand.
• Working the bar, serving our guests ensuring exceptional presentation and consistency. 
• Starward Home is open from Thursday – Sunday. Please apply only if you are available on these days (at least three).
• Showcasing your leadership skills and training other team members on best bar practice, beverage and whisky knowledge
• Working in the Front of House as needed greeting and serving our guests. 
• Previous experience and current RSA required. 
• Extensive training and education provided.
