Accounts Manager

Established in 2011, STATION is dedicated to presenting a diverse, conceptually driven exhibition program in both our Melbourne and Sydney galleries, with the aim of fostering rigorous, critically engaged contemporary art practices.

We represent a broad stable of established and emerging Australian and international artists and are committed to bringing Australian contemporary art practices to international audiences.

STATION facilitates off-site exhibitions, publishes artist books and monographs and participates local and international art fairs.

Working from the Melbourne gallery, the Accounts Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the various finance functions for the gallery, bringing strong financial management and analytical skills to support and assist the Directors, and the gallery team, with a range of tasks associated with the successful commercial operation of the Gallery.

Key Selection Criteria

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (including Advanced Excel skills), FileMaker and Xero (competency with payroll function in Xero)
• Experience creating and maintaining budgets and financial reports
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and demonstrated organisational and time management skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team with attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous relevant practical experience within a commercial gallery or arts institution an advantage
