With a menu built on French bistro classics, an extensive wine list and a curated cocktail menu to rival the most discerning of drinkers' palates, Bar Margaux is home to everyone searching for spectacular food and exceptional customer service mixed with Melbourne’s love affair for late night haunts.

We are looking for an experienced Host who thrives off a busy environment, understands the simple perfection of a classic cocktail and likes the best tartare in town (in our humble opinion), someone who has a natural affinity with hospitality and passionate about providing an unparalleled guest service experience from the minute they walk under the neon and down the stairs and through the front door to our dining room, The Cheval Suite (Bar Margaux's private dining room) or The Bar.

Who we are looking for:

We provide training to all our team, but the successful candidate will still need a few French tricks up their sleeve:

• The ability to work as part of an energetic team for 25-30 hours per week
• The drive to give the ultimate guest experience 
• A strong work ethic and able to stay the course when wonderfully busy
• That ‘je ne sais quoi!’ 
• Exceptional presentation and grooming
• Experienced with OpenTable (but we can teach you that)
• Attention to detail and
• Experience - we cannot forget! Ideally you will have at least 1 or 2 years hosting within a similar venue.
