We are looking for someone who is a natural both on the floor and the bar, who will thrive off a busy environment, understands the simple perfection of a classic cocktail and likes the best tartare in town (in our humble opinion); someone who is at home in hospitality and is passionate about providing the unparalleled customer service experience.
About the role and requirements:
To be well equipped for success within Bar Margaux this role will be supported by the Venue Manager and the Senior Leadership Team.
However, the successful Restaurant Manager will still need a few French tricks up their sleeve:
- The ability to work with and lead a very energetic team.
- Supporting your colleagues (within all aspects of the venue), inspiring your team-mates, having fun and being able to create the ultimate guest experience every time.
- A talent for multi-tasking and problem solving. Having the ability to reach into your knowledge and past experiences to solve problems and have a solutions- based mindset.
- Planning and organising special functions.
- Proven organisational skills to prepare and organise the restaurant for service.
- Checking in with customers to assess their enjoyment and quality of service.
- Strong financial acumen: cost of goods, labour, stock control, overheads.
- Ensure that the dining room and facilities adhere to health regulations and are clean, functional and are to the standard of the venue.
- Training and supervising the waiting and service team as well as the bar staff.
- Ability to take reservations, host and seat and take orders.
- A strong work ethic, the confidence to be able to talk the talk and be passionate for your continued development within the hospitality industry. We believe that working with hospitality professionals breeds a desire for consistently pushing your knowledge and desire to continually improve.

- Communication is essential to be successful. You will need to be confident, organised and thoughtful in your communication style.
- Let's talk experience: A minimum of 5 years in the hospitality industry with 2 years at management level in a similar style venue is required for this role. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of and appreciation for service, front of house operations, cocktails and spirits and wine, and a passion for unparalleled service.
- Hospitalilty or Tourism qualification would be preferable.
