Trippy Taco, a vegetarian/vegan Mexican style restaurant in Fitzroy is looking for a Kitchen 2IC/Team Leader, who is reliable, responsible and has experience working in a fast paced environment.
As a 2IC/Team Leader you will be part of a dynamic management team and be responsible for the running of the kitchen on shift.
This includes cooking food to order, making sure the orders run smoothly, quality control, directing & training other members of staff and also opening / closing duties, ordering etc.
We are looking for someone who is mature, responsible and can stay calm under pressure. A minimum of 2 yrs kitchen experience and a trade qualification (minimum cert 3 commercial cookery or equivilent) is essential. Some previous management experience and being vegetarian or vegan is desirable, but not essential (at the very least a good knowledge and appreciation of vegetarian cuisine).
This position will be suitable for someone wit a trade qualification who is looking to progress into management.
This is a Full Time position of 38 hrs per week (award rates- level 4).
Minimum cert 3 Commercial Cookery
Food safety supervisor certificate
Knowledge of vegan/vegetarian, gluten free dietary requirements
Appropriate visa status to work full time in Australia
Available to work on a full time basis, available on nights and weekends.
