The Urban Purveyor Group has its origins in a single restaurant opened in Sydney’s The Rocks by John Szangolies way back in 1976. Thanks to its combination of great food and drink, an amazing venue and the best people in the business, it was a winning formula we still follow to this day.
Our philosophy of incremental growth, and a focus on dedicated training and careful attention to customer service saw the Group blossom into 15 individually successful businesses, including the Bavarian Bier Cafés, The Argyle, Saké Restaurant & Bar, The Cut Bar & Grill, Löwenbräu Keller and Ananas Bar & Brasserie and most recently our largest venture Munich Brauhaus.
