About Buffet
Buffet is a creative agency and team of 12 based in Sydney, delivering market-leading campaigns, strategy and content to the food, drink and hotel industries. We’re proud of our collaborative, passionate, flexible culture, and strive to prioritise each employee's professional development within our small team.
Role Description
Buffet’s Account Manager is a key role within our business, with a core focus on delivering spectacular results to our clients, fostering client and contractor relationships, managing our enquiry flow, and ensuring our creative and production teams and projects run smoothly. This role offers substantial opportunities for professional growth, including leadership opportunities within our team and expanding your expertise across our niche. This position would suit someone with proven agency production experience who thrives in a nimble environment, is highly organised, unflappable, thinks ahead and outside the box, and is comfortable working across multiple projects at once within a small and talented team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Alongside Buffet’s Producer, act as the link between client and creative in the agency, ensuring all projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and to the best possible standard.
- Foster and build on existing and new client relationships to ensure longevity while identifying opportunities for growth within each relationship; report regularly to directors on the status of each account.
- Regularly refine and strengthen business services, continually elevating the standard of our accounts service across all levels, while contributing ideas for innovation and long-term client success.
- Serve as the first point of call for new business enquiries and subsequent costing proposals; be responsible for quoting, resourcing, timelining, and briefing in all sold-in projects to the internal team, alongside our Producer, Junior Producer, and Head of Content.
- Oversee all non-retainer projects and campaigns end-to-end alongside our Producer and Head of Content.
- Manage the onboarding, offboarding, and success of all new and existing retainer clients, including drawing up agreements and working with the Junior Producer to ensure all are fully tracked and reported.
- Assist our Producer with overseeing Buffet’s Junior Producer’s responsibilities, workload and professional development, providing mentorship and creating pathways for their career advancement.
- Assist the Operations Manager and Directors with financial tasks, including setting annual revenue targets and rates, quoting, proposals, invoicing, and recouping overdue funds.
Desired Qualities
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and drive for working in a fast-paced, small-business environment where team members contribute across multiple areas.
- Highly organised and thrives when managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Focus on solutions and proactive problem-solving.
- Plenty of creative ideas and the know-how to help make them happen.
- A keen interest in and knowledge of Australia’s food and drink scene is favourable, but an excellent attitude and a laser-like focus on exceptional results is a must.
Desired Experience
- Watertight client-relation and communication skills.
- 3+ years of previous experience working in a small-to-mid-sized agency environment, juggling multiple accounts or campaigns at once.
- Project management experience, including managing small to large budgets, timelines, and multiple internal staff and external contractors. Knowledge (and respect for) Streamtime or an equivalent project management software is a must-have.
- 1-2 years of experience in the content creation space, with first-hand knowledge of social media marketing, photography, and video shoot experience, preferably on large national-level campaigns.
- Strong production knowledge and confidence communicating production nuance to various stakeholders.
- Experience with Xero accounting software to develop quotes and invoices is essential.
- A keen creative eye for detail, whether that be an amazing image, copy, or story.
- Confidence with design software such as Adobe Suite, plus presentation software such as Keynote, is a nice-to-have.
Extras
- Summer hours from December - February.
- $100 quarterly Booktopia allowance.
- Light-filled, dog-friendly creative studio in the heart of Surry Hills stocked with drinks and snacks.
- Close-knit team of food-obsessives.
- 3 days in office, 2 days WFH.
