About Buffet

Buffet is a creative agency and team of 12 based in Sydney, delivering market-leading campaigns, strategy, and content to the food, drink, and hotel industries. We’re proud of our collaborative, passionate, and flexible culture and strive to prioritise each employee's professional development within our small team.

Role Description:

You will support the wider team on end-to-end project management—from one-off shoots to national campaigns—noting where we can further develop and innovate in this area. This role entails creative resourcing, detailed quoting and budgeting, hands-on production from pre to on-set to post, as well as ongoing asset management. You will work alongside Buffet’s Account Manager and Junior Producer day-to-day, ensuring all Buffet stakeholders (clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal team) are supported in their production projects, processes, and outcomes. If supreme organisation and a meticulous-yet-creative approach is your speed, then you will succeed in this role. A true love, knowledge, and respect for food, beverage, and hotels is highly desired; even better if your experience is in this area.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • End-to-end campaign management, including developing project plans and timelines to ensure all milestones, deadlines, and budgets are met; facilitating seamless communication between clients, contractors, and the internal team during pre-production, on-set, and post-production stages.
  • Alongside the Account Manager, you'll act as a point of contact for clients, assist with quoting for live projects, provide regular updates on project progress, address feedback and concerns, and manage client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain campaign and project budgets, managing up-to-date finance information in line with Buffet Policies.
  • Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying potential problems, communicating these to relevant team members to troubleshoot and implement solutions to mitigate project delays or disruptions.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications, reviewing deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements and Buffet standards.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis, gathering feedback, analysing performance, and reporting results to clients and internal teams to inform future projects.
  • Autonomous on-set producing of stills and video shoots of various scales.
  • Creative talent scouting and recruitment to grow Buffet’s network of photographers, videographers, and other creatives.
  • Oversee our Junior Producer’s workload, including retainer management, backup storage systems, travel logistics, production administration, and on-set producing. Actively contribute to their growth and development, providing mentorship and pathways for their career advancement.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes for new clients alongside the Account Manager, ensuring a smooth transition into Buffet’s production workflows and setting clear expectations.
  • Collaborate professionally, efficiently, and respectfully with the Buffet team, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand and communicate project requirements, objectives, resources, task allocation, and expectations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to digital production, and incorporate relevant insights into projects.
  • Actively contribute to the Buffet team’s internal projects.

Desired Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Producer in an agency environment.
  • A strong understanding of the production and creative industry and current industry trends.
  • Technical knowledge around photography, videography, design and styling.
  • Comfortable navigating Dropbox, Dropbox Replay, Vimeo, various social media platforms, Google Suite, Keynote.
  • Demonstrated experience with StreamTime, or other Project Management software, is a must-have.
  • High-level stakeholder management.

Desired Qualities

  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and drive for working in a fast-paced, small-business environment where team members contribute across multiple areas.
  • Highly organised and thrives when managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Focus on solutions and proactive problem-solving.
  • Plenty of creative ideas and the know-how to help make them happen.
  • A keen interest in and knowledge of Australia’s food and drink scene is favourable, but an excellent attitude and a laser-like focus on exceptional results is a must.

Extras

  • Summer hours from December to February.
  • $100 quarterly Booktopia allowance.
  • Light-filled, dog-friendly creative studio in the heart of Surry Hills stocked with drinks and snacks.
  • Close-knit team of food-obsessives.
  • 3 days in office, 2 days WFH.
