All Things Equal is an innovative social-enterprise providing purposeful paid employment, training and work-readiness for people with disability in the hospitality industry. We're on the hunt for hospitality professionals to join our Pre Employment Program team, to support our trainees to gain foundation hospitality and employment skills.
All Things Equal is a social enterprise empowering people with disability through award-wage employment, purposeful training, and pathways to rewarding careers in hospitality. We exist to bridge the gap between people with disability and the wider community. In four short years, we have created award wage employment for 31 people with disability, paid over $510,000 in award wages, and seen 11 trainees secure employment with mainstream employers.
Our Employment Pathway program has been developed to act as a stepping stone towards mainstream employment. Within our supportive hospitality environment, trainees gain essential transferable skills, build confidence in communication, and foster meaningful community connections.
We run a flagship cafe in Balaclava, a cooking school, a footy club canteen, and have a catering offering that we are super proud of.
We're on the hunt for an experienced hospitality professional to join our Pre-Employment Program team and support trainees to build foundation hospitality and employment skills. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the professional development of our trainees, providing 1:1 support, hands-on direction and coaching to trainees to build their capabilities.
Specifically, you will support trainees in undertaking work experience at our Football Canteen on Sundays, and following the end of the football season, you will support facilitation of our Pre-Employment Program sessions with small groups of trainees during the week.

Our Hospitality Trainers will be supported by an incredibly passionate leadership team, and provided with professional development opportunities with Disability specialists to develop skills, talent and expertise in your role as Hospitality Trainer. Whether you've worked in the disability space in the past or you're new to it, you will be supported along your journey.
This is a part time / casual role based in the Caulfield / Balaclava area.

Have 3+ years hospitality experience working in a cafe or restaurant environment.
Be driven by a passion to play a part in changing the way people with disability are included in the workforce - ideally you will have a strong understanding of the disability space and experience in providing individualised support.
Harness the ability to motivate and mentor individuals all with a set of unique qualities.
Be knowledgeable, compassionate, patient and possesses the attributes of a good teacher and mentor.
Have a keen desire to work in a value-based non-profit environment.
Have strong communication skills, with the perfect blend of firm but kind in communication style.
Be able to act and operate independently as a member of a team.
Maintains a continuous improvement mindset with regard to the professional development of the trainee at all times.
Openly accept feedback as an opportunity for personal growth and improvement.
Have a valid Visa and Australian working rights (essential)
Hold a NDIS Worker Clearance (or be willing to obtain)
