Chef - Korean Restaurant

Momo Chicken Rochedale Trading Pty Ltd (trading as ‘Momo Chicken Rochedale’) has provided fine Korean cuisines and high-quality beverages. The company is seeking a qualified chef for our kitchen.

Position: Chef

Work Hours: Full-Time, 38 hours per week

Duration: 3 years

Workplace: Shop 14/329 Gardner Rd, Rochedale, QLD 4123

Annual Salary: $77,500 per year plus superannuation

You will perform the following tasks for the role:

• Lead and manage kitchen,
• Develop and plan menus,
• Supervise the activities of kitchen,
• Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager,
• Check food to ensure its quality,
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment,
• Prepare food for cooking,
• Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming),
• Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented,
• Clean food preparation areas and equipment,
• Store food in temperature-controlled facilities,
• Receive and store supplies,
• Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional,
• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements,
• Give directions to other kitchen staffs,
• Train and supervise other kitchen staffs

To be successful, you must satisfy the following requirements:

• Demonstrated at least 3-year work experience in the similar role within the food industry; or relevant qualification holder such as Diploma of Hospitality in Commercial Cookery
• Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen
• Excellent cooking skills and unique recipes in Korean cuisines
• Preferable: Permanent resident or Australian citizen (stable residency condition)
