We're looking for an experienced bar and beverage professional to take ownership of the drinks program at 1910 Bistro, from cocktails and wine to non-alcoholic pairings, team training and the day-to-day running of the bar.
Come build a drinks programme in Singapore.
High Note Hospitality Group is looking for an exceptional Bar & Beverage Manager to join the opening team of 1910 Bistro, our new restaurant in the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
We’re looking beyond Singapore because we want to meet talented hospitality people who may be ready for a bigger move, not simply another job at another bar.
This is an opportunity to shape a beverage programme from the beginning, from cocktails, wine and spirits to aperitifs, non-alcoholic drinks and food pairings. You’ll work closely with our culinary, operations and creative teams to create something thoughtful, distinctive and genuinely hospitable.
You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with Distillius, a Singapore craft distillery producing equatorial spirits, aperitifs and liqueurs. That connection creates an unusual playground for drinks development, local ingredients, tastings and new ideas.
The role
You’ll take ownership of the beverage programme and day-to-day bar operation, while helping establish the service culture, systems and team from opening.
We’re looking for someone who can:
Lead, train and inspire a strong bar team
Develop a distinctive cocktail, spirits and broader beverage programme
Bring a confident understanding of wine and wine service
Develop thoughtful non-alcoholic drinks and food pairings
Work closely with the kitchen on seasonal menus and ingredients
Manage purchasing, stock, costing and beverage margins
Build strong relationships with suppliers and producers
Establish excellent preparation, presentation and service standards
Help develop beverage knowledge across the wider restaurant team
Create a bar culture that is warm, knowledgeable and unpretentious
Collaborate with Distillius on spirits, ingredients and drinks development
About you
You may already be a Beverage Manager or Bar Manager, or you may be an exceptional Assistant Beverage Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or senior bartender ready to take a significant next step.
We care as much about hospitality as technical ability.
You should be curious about drinks beyond cocktails, comfortable talking about wine and spirits, interested in ingredients and food, and excited by the opportunity to build a programme rather than inherit one.
Just as importantly, you should enjoy looking after people, developing younger team members and creating an atmosphere guests want to return to.
Experience in a respected restaurant, cocktail bar, hotel or hospitality group would be highly regarded.
Why Singapore?
Singapore has one of Asia’s most dynamic food and drinks scenes, and this role offers the opportunity to build international experience while helping create a new venue from its opening stages.
You’ll be joining an independent hospitality group with the opportunity to work across food, drinks and distilling, and to play a meaningful role in shaping what comes next.
Relocation assistance and work-pass sponsorship will be considered for an eligible candidate.
If Singapore has ever crossed your mind as a possible next chapter, we’d love to hear from you.
