K-SEIN Fromagerie is an independent specialist cheese shop located at South Melbourne Market. Since opening in 2022, we have built a strong reputation for offering an exceptional selection of French, Swiss, Italian and Australian cheeses, with a focus on quality, provenance and genuine customer service.

A key part of what makes K-SEIN different is that we are also a licensed cheese importer. We work directly with selected European producers and suppliers and import part of our range ourselves. This gives team members a rare opportunity to understand the import side of cheese in Australia, including how products are selected, transported, cleared and brought to market.

We also work closely with restaurants, independent retailers and other specialist food businesses that share our respect for quality produce. These relationships connect our team with Melbourne’s wider food community and provide a broader understanding of the cheese industry beyond the shop floor.
