Learn tips and tricks (and steal a little of Melbourne’s coffee culture) from some of the best industry minds in the country. Plus, complimentary coffee brewed by Australia’s top barista.
Three of Australia’s best barista talents are travelling along the East Coast to share coffee knowledge, exclusive tastings and tips to help take your business to the next level. Reigning three-time Australian Barista Champion Jack Simpson, Axil Coffee founder Dave Makin (a former champion) and Axil Coffee’s Director of Coffee Matt Crowley will run an evening covering all things coffee – from finding beans to frothing milk.
Operators can expect a Q&A around big-picture methods such as ethical production, successful scaling, sourcing quality beans and best business practices. For baristas, you’ll get to see advanced brewing methods and take a deep-dive into industry leading techniques around alternative milks, with a diverse range provided by The Alternative Dairy Company at the event.
Sessions run for two hours and you’ll have a chance to ask questions, share business stories, network with other business owners and baristas and establish some excellent wholesale connections. A no-brainer for any coffee expert or cafe operator. The best part? You’ll also get to try some of the best coffee in the country with complimentary cups brewed by Simpson using the same techniques that won him the Australian Barista Championship.
Simpson, Makin and Crowley boast some of the best coffee knowledge in the world – this is an excellent opportunity to hear from some of Australia’s best industry minds. The trio will share some of Melbourne’s coffee culture with a night of Q&A, tastings and tips on several dates along the East Coast with stops in Melbourne on July 24, Canberra on August 5, Brisbane on August 6 and Sydney on August 7.
