Learn industry tips and tricks from local brewers the best way possible – by drinking.
After announcing its return for 2022, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival dropped a packed program of events. One of our favourites is New Crush; a day party dedicated to new drops from Australia’s best wine, beer, cider, spirits and low/no-alcohol drinks makers.
There’ll be live music, food, drinks, a silent disco and more. A ticket gets you a tasting experience in each of the five areas – wine, spirits, beer, cider and no/low-alcohol drinks, and there’s tasting paddles available, too.
For industry hopefuls or those looking to pick up some tips, there’s a “Sip School” to help you gain some tasting knowledge. Once you’ve picked up a few lessons there, you can head over to one of many variety-specific wine bars and have a yarn with makers and growers.
Tickets are selling fast and many events are already sold out, so you’ll need to be quick.
You can get tickets and find more information at the Melbourne Food and Wine website.
New Crush is at E Shed at Queen Victoria Market, Queen Street, Melbourne. It runs two sessions on Saturday April 9 from 12pm to 4pm, and again from 5pm to 9pm. Tickets and more information available here.
