Join a discussion about what works and what hurts when you choose to go into business with your family.
Is working with your family one of the best decisions you’ll make, or are you mad for even trying? Running a hospitality business is difficult under the best of circumstances, and doing it with your family can make it even harder. But if you know how to go about it, it doesn’t have to be tense or stressful.
To teach you the perks (and perils) of running a family business, Worksmith and Turnip Media are bringing hospitality leaders together for a panel on Monday November 11. (It’s part of a series touching on various topics relating to the hospitality industry.)
You’ll hear from father-son duo Guy and Carlo Grossi, the pair behind Grossi Florentino, Ombra, Merchant and Garum.
They’ll discuss the highs and lows they’ve encountered running a family business together, and they’ll divulge the lessons they’ve learned about working with relatives. There’ll be tea and coffee, and pastries to snack on.
Tickets and more information available here.
Not Too Early: The Family Business with Guy and Carlo Grossi is on Monday November 11 at Worksmith Collingwood, 450 Smith Street, Collingwood, from 11am to 12pm.
