Good News: Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Returns in 2022

Following cancellations and online events throughout the pandemic, the festival program will run in-person events across a schedule that will look a little different to normal, but still deliver plenty of memorable experiences.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is back for 2022, following some major disruptions to programming due to the pandemic. The metropolitan festival will run from March 25 until April 9, and guests can expect the return of popular events alongside some exciting new concepts.

The MFWF team says it won’t be running its special events program until the festival’s regional instalment in November, largely due to the struggles facing hospitality operators at the moment and a shorter lead-in time to the festival.

There will still be a massive program of world-class eating and drinking, demonstrations, parties and talks that will all showcase the best the Melbourne has to offer.

The full program is yet to launch, but the festival website hints at “a dinner date with one of the world’s hottest chefs or a golden-fried ticket to a potato party like no other,” to pique our interest.

The festival will kick-off it’s 30th edition with its usual long lunch on Friday March 25. Tickets go on sale from early February, and there’ll be more updates during the next few weeks on the festival’s website.
