Not your usual trade event.
If you’re a restaurateur or winemaker looking to save valuable time, listen up.
Next month, Ootra – an app that will streamline the way wine is traded – will launch across Australia, and you’re invited to its Melbourne kick-off event at BarTini on Monday September 3.
Described as “Spotify for plonk”, Ootra will give venue owners access to dozens of the best wineries (and their rarest vintages) in real time, and provide a community hub where sellers and buyers can talk about, share and trade wine.
This event will also give guests the opportunity to be one of the first in the country to use the app, meet prospective clients and taste some of the country’s finest, all in a casual, social environment.
Some of the winemakers in attendance will be Turon Wines, Barossa Boy, Noisy Ritual, Dabblebrook, Kimbolton Wines, Familiar Creature and Corduroy Wines.
For those not into wine, Molly Rose Brewing and 36 Short will be there serving beers and spirits. The BarTini kitchen will also turn on a selection of snacks.
While this is a free event for traders, spaces are limited so make sure you register ASAP.

Ootra Launch Party is on Monday September 3 at BarTini, 3–5 Hosier Lane, Melbourne from 6pm to 10pm.
