Event: Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s Forum For Hospitality

The free online discussions run monthly and cover everything from marketing to staffing. Next up, Attica’s Ben Shewry talks design.

Operating a hospitality business presents a lot of challenges. Ensuring your product, staffing, stock and reputation are up to scratch takes time and effort, and it can often distract from the importance of design in hospitality.

The team at Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has pulled together an expert panel to address the issues with and discuss opportunities presented by design in hospitality. It’s part of their series of free monthly industry forums that has so far covered topics such as venue marketing, outdoor dining, increasing spend and more.

This talk looks at why design matters in hospitality and how you can do more with it. Attica’s Ben Shewry, Breathe Architecture’s Jeremy McLeod and IF Architecture’s Iva Foschia will discuss how choices you make on things as small as takeaway containers; through to entire venue design can impact your business. A great opportunity to learn about the complexities of design in hospitality, as well as where you can gain some quick and easy wins.
