Qualifications and Experience:
AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in carpentry
Job Responsibilities:
As a Carpenter at Thind Homes, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
Studying drawings and specifications to identify materials, dimensions, and installation procedures
Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts for projects
Cutting materials, assembling, and nailing cut and shaped parts to form structures
Erecting frameworks, roof framing, laying sub-flooring, and installing floorboards while ensuring structural accuracy
Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting cladding, doors, and window frames
Assembling wood components into structures and fittings for installation
Cutting precise wood joints for structural integrity
Constructing concrete formwork as required
Repairing and refurbishing existing fittings and structures
Working with various materials, including plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals when necessary
