The Walrus is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join our team and take on daily responsibilities. We're looking for someone to help us grow, lead and improve. The right candidate will have relevant experience in a similar venue and an established knowledge of running a shift, including reporting and cash handling.
We are a wine and oyster bar located in the heart of St Kilda known for our freshly shucked oysters, ever changing food menu, winning cocktails, and extensive bottle list. After opening a little over a year ago we are seeking someone with passion and experience to join our team and help steer us through our second year of trade and beyond.
There aren’t many times that you’ll hear that a ‘neighbourhood’ has an oyster bar, but we consider ourselves this because we are here for and at the service of the neighbourhood. A humble, relaxed atmosphere gives space for locals and visitors to unwind with a great glass of wine whilst listening to our eclectic collection of records. We want everyone to feel at home here as they work their way through the cocktails, wine and food.
Since opening in late 2023 we have been listed across media platforms as one of Melbourne’s best new bars. We are proud of what we have achieved in our first year and excited for what the future holds.
