STREAT is seeking a casual barista and all-rounder with several years' experience to work across multiple sites around Melbourne CBD, Collingwood and Richmond. Friday availability is a must.

Now we’re looking for someone new to join our team. We roast, we bake, we train, we make. We’re baristas, mentors, and social change-makers. At STREAT, you'll have the opportunity to pass your skills on to young people who have experienced difficulties entering the workforce. You'll be working with a range of friendly and passionate people who take pride in their work and have fun doing it.
We currently have approx 15-20 hours (2-4 shifts) available per week, Monday to Friday, across 11 cafes in the CBD, Collingwood, and Richmond. We especially need someone who can work on Fridays.

What’s the role look like?
- Being surrounded by amazing people and able to showcase your hospitality industry skills in a high volume café environment
- Leading by example, you’ll help manage a consistent, efficient, and customer-focused venue
- You’ll identify your team members’ strengths and encourage them to be brilliant
- You’ll be a champion of hospitality and act as a constant role model for the young people in our training programs.

- Assist with the day-to-day operational activities of a quick-service takeaway coffee venue - including taking orders, making coffee, serving, cleaning
- Basic food preparation (toasties)
- Some table service
- Passing your skills onto our trainees
Experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year speciality coffee experience
- Able to consistently brew coffee to recipe and serve well-presented coffees throughout the day
- Have worked as an all-rounder or similar in an a la carte dining cafe - not just behind a bar/coffee machine
- Ability to remember faces and names and to make strangers smile early in the morning
