Trader House, one of Australia's most established hospitality groups, is looking for a Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations for Melbourne's most iconic wine bar - Marion.

Trader House is a collective of restaurants, bars, and specialty retail stores by Melbourne-based chef, cookbook author and columnist Andrew McConnell and photographer Jo McGann. They are Gimlet at Cavendish House, Apollo Inn, Cutler, Supernormal, Cumulus Inc., Marion, Builders Arms Hotel, Bar Miette, Meatsmith Heritage Butcher and Morning Market.
About the role:
The Restaurant Manager at Marion is the face of the business, responsible for driving and delivering the ultimate guest experience. Located on Fitzroy’s iconic Gertrude Street, our treasured wine bar is inspired by visits to convivial bars and bistros around the world, it’s a place to pause for a moment or to settle in for an indulgent session of eating and drinking.
With accountability for the day to day operations, this is a dynamic and layered role, with active involvement in financials, marketing, activations and overall planning for long term success.
What you’ll bring:
Strong candidates will have previous experience managing successful venues, and seeking an opportunity to lead in a creative, compassionate and decisive manner. Central to this position is steadfast leadership - through a strategic long-term approach to training, recruitment and development. Also the ability to meet financial targets while delivering a market-leading food and beverage programs.
