The Local Drop is seeking a competent Kitchen Porter with previous experience to join our team. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in the restaurant.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team in maintaining a clean and efficient workspace at our newly opened restaurant in Collingwood. You will play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring our chefs have everything they need to deliver top-quality dishes with a Monday to Friday work week.
Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain hygiene standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs
Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and organized
Manage stock of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed
Help with receiving and storing deliveries
Requirements:
Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or professional kitchen
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
Good physical condition and stamina to handle a physically demanding role
Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards
Punctual, dependable, and a team player
