We're looking for a Sous Chef to join the team at Da Bepi, our cosy Venetian-inspired cicchetteria. You'll be working alongside our Head Chef to deliver a tight menu of cicchetti and seasonal classics. Creating a fun wine bar environment in our open kitchen.
Position: Sous Chef
Reports to: Head Chef / Venue Manager
Location: Da Bepi (Brunswick, Melbourne)
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on prep, cooking and service across all sections
Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation standards
Supporting kitchen staff and leading when required
Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
Assisting with stock control, ordering and menu development
Overseeing service in the absence of the Head Cook
About You:
Experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
Strong organisational skills and calm under pressure
Passion for Italian cuisine and simple, honest flavours
Reliable, collaborative, and proud of your work
Ability to work nights and weekends
