Pastry Cook

Looking for Pastrycook at Reverie Café Prahran VIC 3181, Salary $75,000- $95,000

Boyer Jones Group is looking for an experienced full time Pastrycook to work at Reverie Prahran.

The successful applicant will be willing to work hard in one of Melbourne's busiest restaurants.

In this role you will be:

• Preparing and cooking food with colleagues, while adhering to dietary requirements
• kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
• preparing pastry fillings
• monitoring oven temperatures to ensure optimal baking
• baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of brioche, rolls and pastry products
• glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
• Examining food to ensure quality
• Follow the guidance of the executive chef and have input in new ways of presentation or recipes
• Optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
• Storing food
• Adhering to strict health and hygiene standards
• Helping to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

Skills required:

Relevant Diploma or Cert IV and at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Pastry Cook in a busy kitchen.
