Bar Manager / Duty Manager – Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager / Duty Manager to join our team at one of Western Australia’s iconic hospitality venues. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving bar performance.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily bar operations while leading and developing a high-performing team. You will play a key role in shaping the venue’s beverage offering and maintaining a vibrant, guest-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and manage bar staff, including rostering and performance management
Develop and implement creative cocktail menus and seasonal beverage offerings
Manage stock control, ordering, and budget performance
Monitor sales and analyse performance metrics to drive growth and efficiency
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused team culture
Resolve customer feedback and issues promptly and effectively
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Duty Manager or similar leadership role within a fast-paced hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop teams
Passion for customer service and delivering memorable guest experiences
Ability to problem solve and make decisions under pressure
Sound knowledge of bar operations and liquor licensing requirements
Creative mindset with experience in cocktail and menu development
Competent in inventory control, financial reporting, and performance analysis
Holds a current Approved Manager’s Card
