Tuesday to Saturday - Casual Barista for a Social Enterprise Cafe

What’s the role look like?

• Working at 2-3 different cafes per week, in the CBD, Richmond, and Collingwood.
• 25-30 hours Tuesday to Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off.
• Showcase your hospitality industry skills in a high volume café environment
• You’ll identify your team members’ strengths and encourage them to be brilliant
• Act as a constant role model for the young people in our training programs.

• Assist with the day-to-day operational activities of a quick-service takeaway coffee venue, including taking orders, making coffee, serving, cleaning, basic food preparation, and table service
• Staff training and social events
• Salary packaging available to all staff

Experience preferred

• Minimum of 1 year speciality coffee experience
• Able to consistently brew coffee to recipe and serve well-presented coffees throughout the day
• Have worked as an all-rounder or similar in an a la carte dining cafe - not just behind a bar/coffee machine
• Ability to remember faces and names and to make strangers smile early in the morning

• Before starting, a Working With Children Check, and an Australian Police Check will be required as part of the onboarding process. The WCC is reimbursed to employees who stay on at least 3 months.
