Casual Chef

Key Responsibilities: 

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of dishes, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation meet Café Lewi’s standards. 

• Menu Execution: Follow recipes and food specifications accurately to prepare various dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts. 

• Cleanliness and Organisation: Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area, ensuring that all kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. 

• Assist with Inventory Management: Help monitor ingredient levels, assist with stock rotation, and alert the Owners or Café Manager when supplies need replenishing. 

• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure the kitchen operates safely and complies with health regulations. 

• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations during service hours. 

• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all dishes served meet the highest quality standards and contribute to an outstanding customer dining experience. 

• Flexible Hours: Be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, depending on the café’s needs.
